Best games?

There are literally hundreds of awesome games out there, from the earliest NES titles to the latest PS3 and 360 ones...so, what do you think are the 5 best games EVER MADE, with some reasoning for EACH choice?

7 comments:

  1. 1) Modern warfare 2, of course, because the campaign is just plain epic, and the online is amazing you can customize just about anything from your guns to your kill streaks.
2)Uncharted 2, because i like cover based games. and it's like Indiana Jones on steroids (ya know with the treasure hunting and all)
3)Mirrors Edge, for the reason that once you get used to the controls it moves very fluently, and i loved the parts where you would juuust get away from the cops when you where chased
4)Modern Warfare 1, it's kinda old but still one of my favs, because i love the online play (and i know all the maps like the back of my hand)...and pretty good at it
5)Kingdom Hearts 2, for the reason that i like number one and this one has a lot more action in this one. It also has one of the hardest boss battles EVER...and it's not even a main boss it's optional to fight him (sephiroth from FF7) and the final boss has like 6 parts to him.

  4. 1. Dragon age origins. Amazing story, along with a great amount of replay value.
    2. Warcraft 3. One of the best strategy games I've played. It's a good combo of strategy and RPG.
    3. World at War. Honestly, one of the best shooters I've ever played, period.
    4. Armed and Dangerous. The gameplay may get a bit repetitive if you go at it for more the four hours, but the cutscenes more then made up for it.
    5. Fable the lost chapters. Next to Dragon age, one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

  6. How about these classics (in no particular order):

    1. Quest for Glory from Sierra `89
(the first & best of the series and, IMO, Sierra's best series)

    2. Super Mario Kart for SNES `92
(endless hours of racing fun and must-have for the SNES gamer)

    3. Mutant League Football `93 for Sega Genesis
(I owned a Genesis just for sports games -SNES never could quite top them. This was ridiculously fun and has never been duplicated or topped)

    4. WCW vs. The World `97 on N64
(whether you liked pro-wrestling or not, everyone dug this game. I went to many get-togethers in HS and saw this being played by groups of raucous teenagers)

    5. River City Ransom `90 for NES
(The ultimate beat-em-up with character building of the likes even Technos itself couldn't follow)
